Description
Just image in the early days of records, if you were lucky enough to be able to afford a talking machine (aka: record player), cranking the player multiple times to get the turntable up to speed and then placing a fresh needle just right. You could then enjoy your favorite jazz artist, vaudeville or just dance to your favorite foxtrot. Early records were not made of vinyl, but of shellac composition, and were designed to slowly wear down the needle. Which is why you should change the needle after a single play.
