Not every image has a story behind it. Well this one does, I took the kids to a park so they can have some play time. In the distance I saw what I believed to be three turkeys crossing the road. Soon after, I heard the familiar sound of gobble gobble and now I knew it was a turkey, so I grabbed my camera and like a hunter with great skill headed to the direction of the sound. Very soon I found myself walking in a low crouch, and feeling very proud that I am getting close to my prey. I lift up my head ever so slowly and just over the rise I could see the head of the turkey. Now I am really sure I am going to be able to get even closer. I raise my head several more times and the turkey has not moved but I am certain he knows about me. My son decided to join me, so now we are both crouching and peeking and getting closer, however, the turkey is still not moving. Now I feel I am close enough to stand up and begin to take my pictures. Within seconds the turkey apparently decided he does not want his picture taken and then lowers his head, wings back and begins to run towards us. I look at my son and yell �RUN�, my son had already left leaving me as the sole victim of the turkey. So with camera and tripod in hand, I take off like I had just robbed a bank. I hear both my son and daughter laughing, because they are now in the safety of the car. Now I figure the turkey just wanted to send me a message and would only chase me for a short distance, when I got back to the car the turkey was still with me now nipping at my heels. Of course, my two children had locked the car doors while a turkey was chasing their father around the car. All the while I hear their laughter getting louder. Eventually, the turkey had proven its point and just walked away knowing he was the victor. This was the best image I got that day.
